In 2023 the Township engaged JL Richards to provide site investigation and Engineering services for the village of Lansdowne. Village urbanization includes water main expansion, resurfacing roads, stormwater management, and sanitary spot repairs.
Detailed field investigations and analysis including detailed design, cost estimates, and analysis of existing infrastructures have been completed and outlined in the PIC Lansdowne Village Urbanization presentation.

The Corporation of the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands has initiated the Design phase of Village of Lansdowne urbanization and drainage improvements, including site investigations, development of a detailed engineering design including stormwater design and village urbanization. The Township is committed to managing growth in a responsible manner, planning for the safe, efficient and reliable movement of people and vehicles, and ultimately achieving the Township’s vision for a safe, accessible and livable community. With these goals in mind, the project will focus on the integration of urban cross-section elements, drainage, and sidewalks that will result in functional stormwater and roads infrastructure and accessible pedestrian infrastructure.
