Properties on Township roads require an entrance permit for new or additional entranceways, or when altering an existing entranceway. Please review the following:
As per Bylaw 08-049, residential and commercial permits are valid for 6 months.

- Temporary entrances are to be removed within 120 days of application approval.
- If the entrance is to be installed by the applicant/contractor all specifications must be approved by Manager of Roads prior to installation.
- Entrance shall not be used as a means of access to any other type of establishment than indicated without Township approval.
Non-commercial entrance platforms are to be a minimum of 6 metres wide, unless otherwise agreed upon and with a longer pipe, allowing the ends to be exposed by 30cm (minimum) Entrance Material must be 200mm (8 inches) of 5/8 inch crushed stone, minimum depth. Only new, high density polyethylene (HDPE) smooth interior dual-wall pipe or new corrugated steel pipe is to be used, unless otherwise approved (HDPE O.P.S.S. 1840 or CSP O.P.S.S. 1801). |

Before submitting the application, the applicant agrees as follows:
- I am 19 years of age or older, and am legally authorized and have all the required approvals necessary to make this application
- This application will be received and reviewed by Township staff and submitting this application does not mean that it will be accepted
- I freely accept and fully assume all risks, dangers and hazards associated with the application; and that I acknowledge my responsibility to properly insure and protect myself against risks associated with the application
- I waive all claims arising from this Application that I have or may have in the future against the Township, its elected officials, officers, employees, volunteers and representatives associated with the Application (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Releasees")
- I release the releasees from any and all liability for death or any loss, damage, injury or expense that I may suffer, or that my next of kin may suffer arising from this application or due to any cause whatsoever
- I indemnify the releasees from any and all liability for any businesses losses damage to property of or personal injury to, any third party, arising from my application including the rejection of this application
- I agree that this agreement is binding upon my heirs, next of kin executors, administrators, assigns and representatives in the event of my death or incapacity; that I have read this agreement and I understand its content; and that by signing it I am waiving certain legal rights which I or my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns may have against the releasees.
By submitting an application, I declare that:
- I have understood the risks associated with the application;
- I am giving up my right to sue the Township for damages if I am injured or suffer financial losses as a result of this application; and
- I agree to receive updates on this permit application by phone and/or email.

Properties on County roads must obtain a County entrance permit through the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville.
Properties along, or adjacent to the Thousand Islands Parkway, require a permit from the St. Lawrence Park's Commission for any entranceway, building construction or vegetation alteration. Email St. Lawrence Parks Commission or call 613-328-3295 for permit requirements.
Properties adjacent to or near Provincial highways may require a permit from the Ministry of Transportation (MTO). For information regarding permit areas, setbacks and contact information please complete a General Inquiry form.
