Rockport Village Urbanization

The Corporation of the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands has initiated the Design phase of Rockport Village urbanization and drainage improvements, including site investigations, development of a detailed engineering design including stormwater design, active transportation consideration and village urbanization.

The Township is committed to managing growth in a responsible manner, planning for the safe, efficient and reliable movement of people and vehicles, and ultimately achieving the Township’s vision for a safe, accessible and livable community. With these goals in mind, the project will guide the development of the Village’s long-term, multi-modal transportation network, define policies, programs, and infrastructure required to meet the Village's mobility needs, and provide a context for transportation decisions.

A Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held to introduce the project, preliminary results of activities completed to-date and to solicit public and stakeholder’s feedback on the information presented. The project team representatives will be available to answer questions and discuss next steps.
