Garbage and Recycling
The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands operates three (3) waste disposal sites for Township property owners or residents. All property owners or residents are required to put their household waste in transparent plastic bags, tagged with a purchased bag tag before taking their household waste and recycling to one of the three waste disposal sites in the Township. Attendants may ask to see proof of residency.
Property owners or residents in the village of Lansdowne have curb-side pickup for waste and recycling.
TLTI is encouraging area residents to get involved in two giveaway days. These are days when residents can place gently used items on their front lawn for others to pick up for free. It’s a simple, sustainable way to reduce waste and reuse household goods. One person's unwanted item can be the next person's treasure. For more information, visit TLTI Treasure Days on our website.
